There is a huge difference between a strategy with a vision vs. an action plan vs. a tactic.

I am often given the context of building a long-term strategic plan with healthy and steady outcomes. What I actually find interesting is that most people do not know the difference between the 3 of them: strategy, plan, and tactics.

And THAT is actually the key to having a successful implementation.

The long-term goals and how you’re planning to achieve them make up your strategy — this is pretty much like a blueprint you follow and it is open to adaptation in order to accomplish your idea.

But in order to follow this blueprint, you need a program with specific actions. And each action (e.g., project, initiative) can be a tactic based on how you bundle or arrange them in the big picture.
The tactics are highly specific actions you take in a short time frame that fits the strategy.

✨Here’s a very simple example✨

Let’s say that my goal is to have a creative yet nerdy room. So my strategy is to build this big fancy buildings’ skyline lego set across one of my windows in a way that fits aesthetically and adds personality.
So, I design a mock-up design with the built lego set and print it.
